The Clearwater Beach center is around the area of Winning Inning's Baseball Academy.
Clearwater Beach enjoys warm weather all year long. It's nice and hot in the summer, making it perfect for sunbathing, swimming, wave-boarding, and parasailing. You can spend all day on the beach and cool off in the waves, then hit the town at night. Spring and fall bring milder temperatures that rarely dip below the low 70s Fahrenheit. It's a great time to score some excellent hotel deals, and you'll have more of the beach to yourself too with much thinner tourist crowds. Fall and spring are perfect for a romantic getaway or spa weekend.
Jazz music fans also flock to the region every November for the Suncoast Jazz Festival. Join musicians and acts from around the country for several days of music and fun. The beach, water and food was amazing.
Streets were extremely clean. Sad to say but after walking a mile of beach to a wonderful restaurant including magnificent pictures of the sunset. We decided to take the city bus back to Pelican Point. The bus only took us to the pier or halfway for $3.25 where we had to get off the bus only to ride another bus for an addition 6 blocks for $3.25 more. People were friendly and helpful.
All within walking distance.
Plenty to do, plenty places to eat. Everything is close by. Glad that there was a trolley if you needed to go further.
Clean and well supervised.
Beaches; Honeymoon Island, Clearwater Beach, Fort Desoto, Places to fish from the beach. Many good restaurants and bars.
was not able to use the beach because the weather was cold
Post Corner Pizza and PJ's in Indian Rock are excellent places to eat. We enjoyed seeing Winter at Clearwater Marine Aquarium. In addition, the beaches are beautiful.
For pedestrians there is a ton of room however if you needed to vacate the beach during busy season by car you wouldn't have a chance. There is only one way in and out unless one uses the Sand Key Bridge and drives along Gulf Blvd, but that would be the 1st route inaccessible in a bad storm because Gulf Blvd is a narrow passage with water on either side. Extremely bad engineering planning.
Great places to eat, very clean white sandy beach, friendly atmosphere.
Liked the Belleair beach area. We travel to a lot of beaches and try to avoid the crowded tourist areas and prefer the quiet, family oriented beaches (we have 6 children). So, no thank you to loud noisy Clearwater and yes to Belleair beach!
Sandkey is a treasure because it is only a trolley ride to the packed Clearwater Beach and it still has all the natural coastline and it is right next to the state park so you are not in the middle of a cluster of hotels.
Clearwater Beach was a terrific location. Beautiful beaches, very nice restaurants and close to a lot of entertainment.
