We didn't get to see much of Cascade Locks but the valley, river and surrounding views were beautiful. The Bridgeside restaurant was delicious and had great views overlooking the river and bridge. Big River Grill across the river in Stevenson was a great dining choice as well. Multnomah Falls and the Vista House are also nearby and well worth visiting.

Lots of cute restaurants and an ice cream shop nearby. The hotel is right by the Pacific Crest Trail with hiking trail options and there's a cute historical site and museum on Thunder Island. Everything is walkable for adults and kids.
