The Baker City center is around the area of Oregon Trail Regional Museum and the area of Crossroads Art Center.
Below are reviews of the city of Baker City, OR from an actual visitor's perspective.
We walked through the historic old town. We enjoyed seeing the old architecture. Sweet Wife Bakery was a great stop before this walk. Then we enjoyed a long walk along the Powder River. And, finally we visited the Oregon Trail Discovery Center. This was a very well done museum.
Our timing was poor for enjoying the area. The Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, museums and antique stores were all closed so we focused on enjoying the hotel!
Friendly, welcoming people.
Very friendly and beautiful to visit!
I like how close the city is to Hells Canyon.
The streets are lined with art and the museum is a great place to go check out.
I sure did appreciate the nearby dog park and the creek that ran thru it.
Baker City was a pleasure to stop at. We enjoyed the historic district. The kids loved finding all the animal sculptures around town and there were plenty of dining options. One of the best stops on our trip!

Quaint feel of the town. Animal displays were something to behold. Give someone an inch in a review and they'll take a proverbial mile: Add some old west displays like cowboys, stage coaches... Surrounding mountains panoramic.
The town is great
Loved the artwork, sculptures and history displayed on Main Street! The museum is fabulous, the library is great, and the park is lovely!
