The Alamosa center point is about the area of Trinidad State Junior College and the area of Downtown Alamosa.
The home of the favorite Sand Dunes where activities include sandboarding and sledding. The Rio Grande Scenic Railroad excursion train rides through charming and historic western towns in San Luis Valley and stops atop La Veta Pass at their Amphitheater.

I am very familiar with the City of Alamosa as I am an alumni of the Adams State football team; I'm in town for a Hall of Fame induction of the 1966 Championship team. The city is now up to date, modern and beautiful.
The city is charming. Would love to come back.
Hotel was close to what seemed like everything we needed during our stay!
We visited the Wetlands Refuge, while in the area, and would recommend that drive.
Alamosa is a nice and friendly small college town. We had excellent meals and felt very welcomed.
