If your connecting flight is canceled when you arrive, find the desk agents for your airline; many are on the gate side of TSA. Ours got us on the next flight in the morning and gave us boarding passes so we were already checked in and even gave us weather updates. SEATAC is like a mall on the inside as well with restaurants, shops, and many places to sit and regroup if you're stranded like we were.

Seattle is a beautiful city.
The Light Rail being readily available was a great plus. We took it downtown to Westlake for $3.00 each, and caught the city bus number 24 near 3rd and Pine to Pier 91 for $2.75 each. This saved us between sixty and seventy dollars to get to our cruise ship. We did the same thing when we returned to get back to SEA. Great deal!
We did not spend much time in Seatac.
