The Fernandina Beach center point is around the area of Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach and the area of Amelia Island Museum History.
Florida sees the most significant tourism and price hikes in the winter and during March, when most college spring breaks happen. That means if you want to save, plan to visit Florida in late spring, summer, or fall. For those looking to escape snowy winter wonderlands, Fernandina Beach is a lovely spot for a winter vacation. However, given its northern location, you may run into days that are too chilly for a comfortable beach visit.
That being said, Florida weather gets very hot and humid in the summer, so if you do choose to go during the summer off-season, save your beach visits for morning or evening, and avoid the hottest part of the day. You can avoid some of this humidity by saving your visit for October, as long as hurricane season doesn't worry you. Kids will be back in school, so you're less likely to run into families on vacation.
Save a bit on those resort rates by looking for qualifying discounts in Fernandina Beach. The city's two Hampton Inn properties both offer great discounts. The Hampton Inn & Suites Amelia Island Historic Harbor Front offers a 12 percent discount for AAA members, government personnel, and senior citizens, while the Hampton Inn Amelia Island property has a 25 percent government discount. The latter also offers 14 percent off for military families and AAA members.
The Hampton Inn & Suites Amelia Island Historic Harbor Front is a downtown hotel with a welcoming breakfast nook where you can get a delicious free breakfast, as well as a lovely outdoor pool and spa tub area for your relaxation. Fitness facilities, a business center, and babysitting options make this a wonderful hotel for both business travelers and parents who want to relax.
The Hampton Inn Amelia Island offers cozy rooms and suites with separate sitting areas, desks, and spacious bathrooms. Sleep well on your pillowtop bed, then head to the complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning. Free Wi-Fi is available, as is an outdoor pool with umbrellas and seating.
Both of these Hampton Inn properties offer in-room accessibility and accessible bathrooms. The Hampton Inn Amelia Island also has roll-in showers.
The Seaside Amelia Inn is a lovely three-star property with beach access, sun lounge chairs, and umbrellas directly on the beach. Each guest room has a ceiling fan, a coffee maker, and a microwave. Free breakfast and free Wi-Fi add value to your stay. Make sure to stop by the concierge services to get information about Fernandina Beach.
The Amelia Hotel at the Beach offers satellite programming, daily housekeeping, and free Wi-Fi. Each morning, enjoy free breakfast before heading to the beach or to the hotel's outdoor pool.
