We came for a weekend getaway, toured Tryon Palace, Firemen's Museum and New Bern Battlefield Park.
Clean, historical area. Close to farmers mkt and beach.
I love visiting all the shops in downtown New Bern. I highly recommend Cow Cafe. The food is excellent! I loved their homemade ice cream. If you love history, visit Tryon Palace, Pepsi Cola Shop, Tom's Coin & Antiques! Take your time as there is so much to enjoy! Take a short drive to Morehead City and visit Fort Macon!!

Wonderful historical town, lots of things to do, many unique places to visit, depending on time of year there are always different activities going on, just check the calendar of events through the visitors bureau. A highlight is the “Mumfest” we went to this year in October. There are also fantastic ghost tours in the historic downtown in the latter part of the month. FUN! Lots of shops and delicious restaurants. Wonderful seafood, boating, fishing, shopping, tours, American history, friendly people and great weather.

I visited the YMCA for my Grandsons basketball game and the hotel was in a very convenient location to their home and the YMCA!
