The Manitowoc center is about the area of Wisconsin Maritime Museum and the area of Rudy Rotter Museum Sculpture.
Because Manitowoc is a northern Midwest town and borders a Great Lake, its winters can be a bit brutal. Frigid temperatures, strong winds, and heavy snowfall make this town a tough place to enjoy from the months of November through March. If you love snow and winter sports, however, this might be an ideal time to go, just be prepared.
Spring, summer, and fall are great times to visit this area of the country. Summer temperatures don't get too high, so you'll be able to enjoy time out on the water without overheating. Springtime offers fun festivals, beautiful blooms and crisp, cool weather. During the fall, many people enjoy the wealth of orchards and farms in the area that offer apple picking, hayrides, and other harvest activities.
The warmest months are June, July, and August with average temperatures ranging from the low 60s to high 70s. You'll find the lowest averages during January and February, with lows around 15 degrees. Even if you enjoy the cold and snow, the best time to visit Manitowoc is anytime from April through October.

My hometown. A beautiful city. Celebrated my 70th class reunion 6/1/24 from Lincoln High School; the most beautiful school and campus with the most unique and beautiful graduation ceremony.
The city attractions!
Wisconsin Maritime Museum.
Great location for a quick drive to the lake.
Easy access to parks and Lake Michigan
The only place we did go besides the hotel was the Mexican restaurant right beside the hotel. Excellent food and our waiter took really good care of us.
Restaurants downtown were less than stellar, except the Courthouse Pub. A lot of empty storefronts. Have to go to far west side of town to come into the modern era. Manitowoc is just an old, shell of itself from days gone by city. Bike trail to Two Rivers was very modern/nice!
Maritime Museum and river front area is pleasant with some good places to visit.
Manitowoc seemed lovely and the museums are great.
