The Oshkosh center is about the area of University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and the area of Oshkosh Public Museum.
Summer is the most popular time to visit Oshkosh. From June to August, average high temperatures are in upper 70s and lower 80s Fahrenheit, and average low temperatures are in the upper 50s and lower 60s. If you want to enjoy the waters of Lake Winnebago or explore the nearby parks, these are the months to do it. However, keep in mind that it's hard to find a good hotel deal in the summer, especially in the last week of July when the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh air show comes to town.
Fall doesn't stay around long in Oshkosh, but it's beautiful while it lasts. September starts out with average highs in the lower 70s, but by November those highs struggle to get out of the 40s. You could start seeing a light dusting of snow in October, and by November it's not uncommon to see a few inches.
If you truly want a good deal, visit Oshkosh in the winter. Just make sure you pack your hat, gloves, and coat. The months between December and March rarely see temperatures out of the 30s, and average monthly snowfall is anywhere between seven and 10 inches. If you enjoy outdoor sports like ice skating and snowshoeing, you'll find plenty of opportunities for them. Even if you'd rather spend time inside, most of the indoor attractions stay open in the winter.
Spring is another short season in Oshkosh, but it's a nice time to go if you want to see some of the outdoor attractions, yet still get a good deal on a hotel room. Average high temperatures in April start out in the mid-50s, but by May, highs are usually in the upper 60s. Just make sure you pack an umbrella since spring showers often pop up during the day.
