However, start your journey by exploring Piedmont's many parks and green spaces. There are nine different parks in the city, each with its own unique atmosphere. Definitely plan a walk around Piedmont Park. The Piedmont Park and Exedra Plaza are beautiful green oases in the center of Piedmont, both geographically and historically. The Community Hall and The Exedra Plaza are both utilized as venues for various community and private events. Here, celebrations like the Fourth of July Band Concert and Harvest Festival are hosted, as well as more casual gatherings like Movies in the Park. Exedra is the park's main entrance that you definitely won't miss: it represents a beautiful Greek-style arc with a recognizable blue vase as a centerpiece. The Sibley Volcanic Natural Preserve is a protected area in California dedicated to preserving the area's volcanic features. The preserve is open to the public for hiking and nature observation. Round Top is the area's prominent natural feature with an elevation of more than 1700 feet above sea level. This peak is made up of lava and volcanic debris of a 10-million-year-old volcano. The park has a self-guided Visitor Center with exhibits and displays on the Preserve's geology and History. The Sibley Volcanic Preserve is a must-visit place if you want to face the сhilling yet fascinating power of nature.

Definitely schedule a stroll through the Piedmont Avenue commercial district. Even though it is technically a part of Oakland, it is situated within a five-minute drive from Piedmont's center. Here you'll find cultural attractions like Landmark's Piedmont Theater, as well as a variety of bars and restaurants.
