The Aztec center point is approximately the area of Aztec Ruins National Park and 7 miles north of Downtown Bloomfield.
Below are reviews of the city of Aztec, NM from an actual visitor's perspective.
Aztec has a fun old-style drive-in A&W we went to, as well as an eat-in DQ. There are Aztec ruins at a national monument right in town, just be sure to get there before it closes at 5 pm. Fairly close to Farmington and Durango, Navajo Dam.
The Aztec ruins were interesting!

I grew up there, I really like Aztec Ruins and the proximity to Navajo Lake, and I love all my cousins who still live there.
