Below are reviews of the city of Bracebridge, ON from an actual visitor's perspective.
The road to Lakefield was one of the most pleasant drives in Ontario.... loved it.
Woodchester, the nineteenth century octagonal house on the hill above the falls, is well worth the visit, as are the nineteenth century dams and hydro power plants that capture the power of the falls, which are themselves very dynamic and beautiful. There's public swimming on the other side of the harbour as well. Manitoba Street is the Main Street of the original town and has some interesting shops, restaurants and coffee bars. You can even take in a film at the mid twentieth century cinema. A very pleasant town to spend a couple of days in!
The falls, the shops, easy to get around and navigate.
Bracebridge is a wonderful town with nice amenities.
Everything is easy to find and everyone is friendly. There are lots of things to do. The Barrel House has great food. SANTAS village Santa Fest was a wonderful experience for our 4 and 5 year old's.
Omg the little stores! The theater! We actually went and watched a movie! The falls were breathtaking! The scenery was amazing; worth the trip!
Small town charm along with preservation of heritage buildings.
Bracebridge is a great little town
We were there for a wedding so did not do any sightseeing. The shops downtown looked wonderful. Would have liked more time. Hopefully in the future.
