The hottest months start towards the end of June and last until about the third week of September when temperatures start to cool off rapidly. If you want to get the best weather with the hottest temperatures, head to the area in late July to early August when temperatures are averaging around 87 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and about 60 degrees at night. The coldest months start in mid-November and taper off toward the end of February. You can count on temperatures averaging around 55 degrees Fahrenheit with lows around 36 degrees.
While winter in Roseburg isn't brutal by any means, it is cloudy and rainy from about mid-October to the beginning of May. Skies are clear, and the weather is dry from the beginning of May to around the middle of October. Make sure to bring your rain gear if you're heading to the area during the rainy season.

Probably the last thing you'd expect to find in Roseburg is a safari adventure complete with giraffes, white rhinos, oryx, hippos, zebras, and yes, lions and bears. The Wildlife Safari is a facility that offers the opportunity to get up close and personal with many endangered animals, birds, and reptiles from around the world. You can drive through the 600-acre park where the animals get to roam free and talk a walk through the Safari Village for the animals that are kept in enclosures.
Downtown Roseburg and Mill-Pine are both nationally registered historic districts that have over 300 historic structures all located within a 3-mile radius. You'll find beautiful commercial buildings, homes, churches, and even a Masonic temple that's withstood the test of time. Architectural styles range from high Victorian painted ladies to Prairie homes that were inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright. There are also plenty of interesting boutiques and stores in downtown along with restaurants and cafes. You won't want to miss the unique downtown of Roseburg as it's every bit as interesting as the surrounding terrain.
Roseburg has the best that nature has to offer. It's an hour away from the coast, has great outdoor activities in the form of fishing, swimming, and hiking in the Umpqua rivers, Crater Lake and various trails that are found in the valley. It's a beautiful region that will have you coming back time and again for a visit.

Roseburg is in a naturally beautiful region of Oregon. The small city has a lot to offer and the little main street has some fun shops and restaurants.

A nice little bar/performing arts/event space called the Sunnyside Theater.
Good location near the river and the old town. We like to walk a lot after a long day of driving.

I love the small town and everything you need is here! Costco, Grocery Outlet, Safeway, Lowe's. Lots of “big box” brand name stores here. Downtown was cute and nice.
Roseburg Station Restaurant
Roseburg is beautiful! It's a halfway point for our trip from Washington to California.
Roseburg downtown was an enjoyable area to walk in. Not very big but a nice variety of restaurants and shops, including antique, what-not, spa, and sewing. Well kept up.

I was there for a meeting on the Umpqua Community College Campus, very beautiful high above the river.
My first visit - I was there for a meeting so didn't have much time to look around but it made me want to return.
