The Richmond center point is approximately the area of Patty A Clay Hospital and 1 mile southeast of Eastern Kentucky University.
The best time to visit Richmond is in the shoulder seasons when you can find great hotel rates and still enjoy the beautiful weather.
Spring highs range from 66 to 75 degrees, with lows dipping into the low-40s. As long as you pack a few layers and expect rain showers, you'll love visiting Richmond in April or May. Keep in mind, however, that spring is Kentucky's second-busiest tourist season. You won't deal with as many crowds as you would during the summer, but you still might want to book your hotel reservation a few weeks early.
Tourism is slow during the fall season due to the weather, but there's plenty to experience as temperatures start to cool off. Average highs fluctuate between 57 and 79 degrees, depending on what month you visit. You can also enjoy a number of fall festivals occurring in and around Richmond this time of year.
Summer is peak tourist season in Richmond for good reason. Kentucky experiences comfortably warm weather and moderate precipitation during the summer. High temperatures rarely hit 90 degrees, so you can enjoy all the outdoor attractions without overheating. Just remember that hotel rates are priced highest during the summer months. Making a reservation well in advance could help you save.
Winters in Richmond are cold enough to keep the tourist crowds away. Since so many of Richmond's attractions are outdoor historical sites, you may have difficulty checking those landmarks off your list. Still, Richmond winters aren't as cold as some parts of the country, with average lows hitting 23 degrees in January. If you come prepared with cozy outerwear and break up your trip with indoor attractions, you could enjoy a memorable, budget-friendly vacation.
If you qualify for a special rate, you can save even more money on your trip to Richmond.

I was there for a wedding. Had a great time. Plenty to do and places to eat.
Everything was close and convenient.
Restaurants especially Golden Corral and Cracker Barrel.
Came specifically for Buc-ee's but also visited Red Mile Casino. People were all very friendly.
We didn't spend any time in Richmond but the hotel location had lots of meal options for us to grab dinner.
They had lots of choices of restaurants and places to get fast food.
Love it!
I was in Richmond for EKU graduation. We did eat at Outback. Excellent food. Cody our helper did an excellent job.
Easy access to the interstate.
Nice and clean hotel with lots of services.
I live here- we use the Hampton Inn for a lil getaway from the family and the stresses of everyday living. It is a time for me and my husband to have private time from all the stresses and work at home. We go out for a nice dinner and come back to our room for some relaxing and “couple time” away from the kids at home and the everyday stresses of home. Then a great breakfast bar that recharges us for another month. Thank you for always delivers !!! There are great places to eat and shop within 15 minutes of the hotel that makes staying there even a better choice to getaway, but still be close to home.
Easy access to food and groceries.

Lots of restaurants around the hotel.
Friendliness of all people and a great variety of restaurants to choose from for dining! The city has a quaint little home town air about it. Somewhat of a laid back atmosphere to the town.
