The proximity to Oakland/Berkeley, the water being so close, the food, the shopping, the variety of people.
I don't know that much about the City of Emeryville other than the food court on Christy Street. They have a wide variety of food choices.
The water; walk out of the hotel and you can sit on the benches and meditate.
Small, safe, clean, walkable especially near hotel, merry go round, Bay Street, on the bay, great views!

The ability to easily walk to wherever we were headed. The Public Market made for a good late night meal after we checked in.
