Comfy bed and pleasant and clean room. Hillsboro and PDX in general are a dive. Lots of people on the streets. It is nice to be able to have a hotel like the Embassy that is nice to go into when in those areas.
The shopping and food!
Quiet area only 20 minutes away from Portland.
I did not really get to the the city but the fast food options were great for comfort food that I miss from home. It was also a beautiful countryside with open fields lined with dark forests of tall evergreens.
We went to the Washington County Fair, the admission was free and the fair had tons of food vendors and exhibits to enjoy.
The wedding at McMinnamens CPR was fabulous. As a wedding venue, I would highly recommend the octagonal barn. While we had to move everything inside because of the weather, everyone was very helpful in making it a truly spectacular occasion.
It was very frustrating that there was nothing in walking distance and even convenient stores in the middle of the night were impossible to find.
The city was easy to navigate and was a pretty area. We were within two miles of good restaurants, shopping and parks.
Wer came to Hillsboro for a softball tournament and the city was clean, quiet, and the people were very friendly.
