There are a few factors you should take into consideration when you're planning your trip to Lake Ozark. You'll want to go when you can enjoy the weather, but it's also important to understand the area's trends so you can save on your hotel reservation.
July is Lake Ozark's most crowded month, so if you want to avoid the busy season, consider visiting during a season other than the summer. January is the least crowded time, while a winter vacation helps you avoid the crowds, though the weather might not be ideal, especially if you're looking for water activities. November is typically the least expensive time to visit Lake Ozark. While you won't have the hot days of summer when you go to the lake, you won't get the serious cold of winter either and can save big on your stay.
When it comes to weather, July and August are the hottest months, with temperatures creeping up into the high 80s. You'll start to enjoy highs in the 70s in May, and these warmer temperatures last through September. Keep in mind when packing, temperatures can dip considerably. It's usually coldest in January, with highs reaching the lower 40s and lows hovering around 20 degrees. May sees the most precipitation. Peak tourist season runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with about 3.5 million tourists visiting the Lake of the Ozarks during that period.

The city was fine. I wish we had more time to explore, we explored a cave and we were there in the winter so we did not check out the lake much. I liked the area and would go again to visit in the Spring or Autumn.
Everything was fine and we will visit the Lake of the Ozarks again.
