The Lake George center is about the area of Lake George Village.
The most popular time to visit Lake George is the summer season, so hotel rates tend to be highest at this time. You can enjoy a number of outdoor activities when the weather is pleasant including whitewater rafting, hiking, and boating on the lake, which is why people often prefer to visit during this time of the year. In the fall, the weather tends to cool down, resulting in fewer visitors. The winter months bring snow and cold temperatures, so tourism tends to drop during this season. As springtime begins, more visitors head to the area, so the rates go up once again.
Several events also take place in nearby villages, resulting in higher hotel prices. These include the Balloon Fest, the Adirondack Film Festival, and the Adirondack Nationals Car Show in the fall, as well as the Elvis Fest and Americade in the summer.

Mini getaway❣️
Lake George had many things to offer for lots of family fun. We enjoyed the free fireworks show from our lakefront hotel on Thursday night. We stopped by the free concert in the park on Friday night. Had a great family dinner at The Tap & Duffy's. The kids found very reasonably priced shirts and trinkets at local shops. Finally, we road the Minne Ha Ha and this hour long boat ride was informative as we learned the history of the lake and notable homes/mansions along the lake. This trip had something to offer everyone.
