The Hollywood center is about 1 mile east of Jaycee Hall and 1 mile east of Hollywood Amtrak Station.
The best time to visit Hollywood is in the winter months from December to April. The warm, pleasant climate makes Hollywood a great destination for snowbirds, so expect to encounter larger crowds during this season. Being a prime wintertime destination, hotel rates tend to go up, especially around the holidays.
Summer and fall are susceptible to hurricanes and, at the very least, a lot of rain. If you don't mind braving the weather, you can find some of the best hotel rates during this season. Just be on the lookout for severe weather. The official hurricane season runs from June to late November, but don't let that keep you from planning a summer getaway. Just pack plenty of sunscreen, a hat, umbrella, and light clothing.
May is the best month to travel if you want to enjoy low hotel rates and fewer crowds. Peak season is over, and you won't find many travelers flocking to Florida beaches, but the average high is 85 degrees.
If you research your favorite accommodation ahead of time, you may be surprised to uncover money-saving discounts that keep more cash in your pocket. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino prides itself on being a AAA, Four-Diamond-rated lodging, which means that AAA members can take advantage of discounts.
Several area hotels offer the AAA discount, which can help you save as much as 20 percent off the property's best available rates. In addition to AAA, being an AARP member, senior, military member, or government employee could translate to special savings.
Most accommodations also offer their own special deals and travel packages, which frequently change with the season. The chic Hollywood Beach Marriott, for instance, offers several packages, including a park and cruise package that helps you save money on parking fees. Spring and summer deals come with a savings of up to 20 percent, and last-minute deals can also mean big savings.
If you're planning a honeymoon or romantic getaway, be on the lookout for romance packages at area hotels. Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach is just one accommodation that offers this money-saving perk. When booking the romance package, you will be entitled to deluxe accommodations, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a bottle of champagne – everything you need to start your romantic getaway off right.
Hollywood offers plenty of mid-range hotel options that give you plenty of value for your money. Hampton Inn & Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport is a modern accommodation near the airport and the Anne Kolb Nature Center trails. The property offers classic guest rooms with flat-screen TVs, HD channels, free Wi-Fi, work desks, and suites with pull-out sofas and full kitchens. Guests can enjoy a free hot breakfast, breakfast bags to go, a fitness room, an outdoor pool and patio, and free airport services.
Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach Resort is a laid back beachfront property close to Mardi Gras Casino. Guest rooms feature balconies overlooking the ocean or Intracoastal Waterway, flat-screen TVs with premium channels, free Wi-Fi, work desks with ergonomic chairs, kitchenettes, microwaves, wet bars, and tea and coffeemakers. Enjoy an array of amenities like a poolside bar, contemporary bistro, coffee shop, infinity pool, Jacuzzi, fitness center, and business center.
Riptide Oceanfront Hotel is situated adjacent to the Hollywood Boardwalk, providing an excellent location for exploring the area on foot. Rooms feature free Wi-Fi, kitchens, flat-screen TVs with DVD players, and optional sofabeds. Enjoy a lively on-site restaurant, live performances at the tiki bar, and free parking.
While its beaches are the biggest draw, Hollywood offers plenty of other amazing attractions that shouldn't be missed.
Anne Kolb Nature Center is a beautiful, family friendly nature complex consisting of 1,500 acres of coastal mangrove wetland. A visit here means discovering a variety of plant and animal species, some of which are endangered. The center's exhibit hall provides visitors with a map of the site, a miniature theater with closed-caption presentation, and several interactive displays.
Yellow Green Farmers Market is open year-round, providing a seasonal bounty of fresh foods and artisanal goods. You'll encounter local artists and craftsmen, get the chance to talk to South Florida farmers, and enjoy some of the best eats Hollywood has to offer.
Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Casino is the area's premier gaming destination, offering high-energy slots, table games, and signature Hard Rock memorabilia throughout the facility. Whether you gamble or not, the casino features some of Hollywood's best restaurants and nightlife, including Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, Kuro, Hard Rock Café, and the popular Center Bar.
Whether you're hoping to book an upscale seaside resort or a budget-friendly accommodation, Hollywood offers a little something for everyone.
