The Arlington center is about the area of Arlington Museum of Art and the area of Downtown Arlington.
Arlington is an amazing city. I would recommend visiting from May to October. That will provide you with the weather needed to enjoy all the attractions. You can spend a day of thrills at Six Flags Over Texas. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor will provide you a great day of water fun. If you are a sports fanatic you can enjoy a Texas Rangers Baseball Game or tour ATT Stadium, Home Of The Dallas Cowboys. If you like to shop and eat make plans to visit The Arlington Highlands. It has all the shops and restaurants you are looking for. It provides great entertainment to with Dave & Busters, Splitsville Bowling Alley and Improv Comedy Club. Arlington is so centrally located that I would also recommend taking the short ride to visit downtown Dallas and Downtown Fort Worth.
The Dallas-Fort Worth area gets extremely hot in the summer, so if you're looking for the best time to visit Arlington based on the weather, spring and fall will be your top choices. Even though the summer weather can be brutal, summer is when the area sees the most tourism, so you can avoid the crowds and the heat by booking a hotel at another time of the year.If you want to visit Arlington when rates are lowest, December through February excluding holidays is good timing. The weather is in the 50s, which isn't the best for visiting the amusement park or other outdoor activities, but the park is still open in the afternoon and evening. The colder weather may not be fun for people used to sunny Florida, but if you're visiting from the north it'll be a nice break from the below-freezing winds and layers of snow on your car.
When you qualify for a discount, you want to stay in a hotel that will let you take advantage of that discount. Many hotels in Arlington and the surrounding area offer AAA, AARP/senior, and military/government discounts. For a really stellar military and government employee discount, check out the Baymont Arlington Six-Flags. The military discount drops the price of rooms with queen beds well below $100, pulling it down more than $20 all together. The Baymont also offers a modest AAA discount. A stay there puts you close to Six Flags, and gives you free Wi-Fi and free breakfast. The Knights Inn Market Center is an extremely affordable hotel that offers AAA and senior discounts. Their already low prices (which dip below $40 a night if you book extended stay) come down even more with your discount. This modest budget hotel is located in a quiet area of town and has basic amenities like free Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and a pet-friendly policy. For a more upscale experience that won't hurt your budget, try the Hampton Inn & Suites Fort Worth/Forest Hill. They have AAA rates on rooms with accommodations for those with hearing or sight problems, like a hearing accessible shower and a door phone alert. Have fun in the indoor pool, the fitness center, and the spa tub. Free breakfast and free Wi-Fi are other amenities you will enjoy at the Hampton Inn & Suites.
What makes a good value in Arlington is a combination of location, amenities, price, and what previous guests have had to say about their stay. When you stay at the three-star Residence Inn by Marriott Arlington, you'll get a suite with a kitchen for an affordable price. You'll also be less than a mile away from Six Flags, and a mile away from the intriguing Bowling Museum. Guest reviews rave about the tasty complimentary breakfast. Other amenities you can expect include free Wi-Fi, an outdoor pool, a spa tub, and free access to a nearby gym.Homewood Suites by Hilton Dallas-Arlington is another all-suite hotel with reasonable rates and a great location. It's less than half a mile from Six Flags, so if you feel like it, you don't even need to take your car to the theme park. Enjoy free Wi-Fi, a complimentary breakfast, and an indoor pool. You can bring your pets, too.The Best Western Plus Arlington North Hotel and Suites is just a few miles from Six Flags, and offers both rooms and suites. Guests give this hotel's cleanliness extremely high marks, so when you stay here you know you'll be comfortable. Enjoy other amenities such as the 24-hour fitness center, the outdoor pool, and free Wi-Fi. If you didn't bring a car, you can take a shuttle around Arlington for a fee.
When you're traveling, finding food can be difficult, whether it's because your travel plans bring you into town at odd hours of the day, or because you're unfamiliar with the area. That's why finding a hotel in Arlington with a restaurant might just be a life saver. The Holiday Inn Express Arlington has a restaurant and offers a free breakfast and a lovely outdoor pool. The DFW Airport Marriott South has a restaurant which not only serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but which also gives room service during limited hours. If you're looking for a restaurant hotel because of weird travel hours, you'll also appreciate the express check-in and check-out.Arlington is a fun place for families and couples to visit, thanks to its proximity to Dallas and Fort Worth, and because of the fun recreational activities Arlington offers. If you're traveling in a group, many hotels in Arlington offer significant discounts for large groups.
