All seasons prove unpredictable in Bozeman, Montana. June and July have seen snowstorms in this part of the world, so you can't always count on sunny skies or shorts-and-tee-shirt temperatures. If you're looking for the best hotel rates and the fewest crowds, plan your visit for the spring or autumn months. Pack plenty of options so you're ready for all weather phenomena.
Summers and winters are the busiest times of year in Bozeman. People come from all over the world for the skiing, snowboarding, and other snow-dependent sports in the winter, and summers attract hikers and campers who want to explore Yellowstone and other outdoor spaces with the smallest chance of snow and ice. Hotels hike up their prices during summer and winter, as well, so expect to pay a little more for accommodations.
You'll get great discounts on Bozeman hotels if you choose a chain establishment, such as Fairfield Inn or Hampton Inn, thanks to the AAA, CAA, and AARP discounts. The Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bozeman offers discounts of up to 10 percent for senior citizens. Just bring your identification or membership card to the hotel to take advantage of reduced rates. You can also book your hotel reservation early to get a few dollars knocked off your bill for early bird registration.
The Hampton Inn Bozeman strikes an excellent balance between luxury and low prices. You'll find it in the shadow of the Bridger Mountains, just a few blocks from the city center. There's a free beverage center in the lobby where you can stock up on coffee, soda, juice, and other rehydrating liquids, and you get a free breakfast every morning as well as free rides to and from the airport. There's an indoor swimming pool with an adjacent whirlpool spa, and the on-site snack shop will satisfy your food cravings at all hours of the day and night.
There's also a fitness center for your workout regimen and a business center if you need to use the printer, copier, or fax machine. In your room, you'll fall asleep on a Hampton signature bed made up with fine linens. Flat-screen televisions and free wireless internet access will keep you entertained between excursions to Bozeman's many attractions. If you upgrade to a deluxe room, you'll get an in-room refrigerator, larger bathroom, and a sleeper sofa. You can also order room service at any hour if you don't want to leave your quarters.
Alternatively, try the Fairfield Inn Bozeman. It features excellent rates, but it doesn't skimp on the amenities. This newly-renovated establishment offers perks like a large indoor heated pool, a free hot buffet breakfast in the morning, free coffee all day in the lobby, and access to several nearby restaurants, from Applebee's and Famous Dave's to McDonald's and the Panda Buffet. The rooms at this establishment are decorated in soothing pastels and feature flat-screen televisions, pillowtop mattresses, unique artwork, and spacious bathrooms.
Yellowstone National Park is just a 1.5-hour drive from Bozeman. There, you'll find miles of hiking trails as well as opportunities to see local wildlife, from birds to bison. The Museum of the Rockies is located in Bozeman and offers extensive exhibits, many of which relate to dinosaurs. Kids will love to see full skeletons and participate in interactive exhibits.
If you're a college football fan, you'll want to take a tour of Bobcat Stadium, while outdoor lovers won't want to miss the Montana Arboretum and Gardens, which offers beautiful collections of flowers and other plants as well as art exhibits. For stunning views of the mountains without the sweat, don't forget Bozeman Pass, which offers a lovely drive through the Montana countryside.

We also enjoyed their mall for shopping - small but had some great local shops. Bozeman's location also offered us the chance to tour the Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park, which was only 61 miles away in the scenic mountains!
