The Brenham center point is about the area of Downtown Brenham and the area of Brenham Heritage Museum.
Brenham has a humid subtropical climate characterized by steamy warm days, especially during summer, and regular rainfall. The steamy days and nights from June to August can be difficult for out-of-towners to stomach, with temperatures regularly sitting in the 90s. The high humidity can make those temperatures feel even warmer.
Winter provides a respite from the region's humidity and the bitter cold that plagues so many other parts of the United States. The daytime temps hovering around the low to mid-60s are wonderfully appealing, especially for Americans from the northern states. If your heart is set on a winter getaway, be prepared to share your vacation with many other travelers. Expect rates for airfares and hotels to rise with increased demand. Book yours early to avoid disappointment.
On the whole, spring and fall have relatively lower tourist numbers and lower prices. The weather is pleasant, especially if you don't travel too close to summer. Brenham may also be at its most beautiful during these months, with wildflowers blooming in spring and the leaves changing to deep reds and yellows during fall. However, there is a tourism spike around May coinciding with Maifest. If you want to enjoy this German festival, book your accommodation early, as hotels quickly fill up.
Hotel rooms can eat up a sizable chunk of any vacation budget. However, if you know where to stay, you can enjoy a hefty discount. The following Brenham hotels are known for offering some of the city's best discounts.

Brenham is a city set to delight your tastebuds. Foodies, wine buffs, and sweet tooths shouldn't miss these local attractions.
Brenham is home to Blue Bell Creameries, one of the South's most popular ice-cream brands. Visitors can learn how this “little creamery” makes its famous ice-cream in the Tour Center and then take home their favorite treats from the ice-cream parlor.
Brenham also boasts four wineries: Pleasant Hill Winery, Windy Winery, Texas Star Winery, and Saddlehorn Winery. They're all boutique wineries creating wines with love from local grapes or, in the case of Texas Star Winery, unique fruits such as prickly pears, cranberries, and plums. Sample the wines in their tasting rooms, and take home a bottle for the perfect Brenham souvenir.
Of course, Brenham also has some wonderful restaurants. Texas is famous for its barbecue, and this carnivorous favorite is showcased beautifully at local eateries like LJ's BBQ, Truth BBQ, and Nathan's BBQ. Enjoy great food while doing good at Cannery Kitchen. Money raised by its American-style buffet benefits Faith Mission, which is a local religious charity that helps homeless and disadvantaged locals get back on their feet.
You can also enjoy meals with an international flavor at Brenham. Mexican restaurants Los Cabos Mexican Grill and Steakhouse, Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant, and Mariachi's Mexican Restaurant specialize in meals from south of the border. Try a variety of Chinese dishes at Golden Imperial's lavish buffet. Pizzaiolo's Gourmet Pizza offers Italian favorites made with attention to detail not seen at local pizza chains.
If the food in Brenham has inspired you, why not learn how to make your own? Murski Homestead offers private cooking classes. You can stand back and learn by watching the instructors at work or enjoy a more hands-on immersive class. The choice is yours!
Taste all that Brenham has to offer on your next getaway. This charming Texas city might not attract the tourist numbers of Austin or Houston, but this is a big part of its appeal.
