The East Syracuse center is around 1 mile east of Syracuse Amtrak Station and 2 miles northeast of Le Moyne College.
The best time to visit East Syracuse is between May and October. This is when the weather is warm and travelers come to the area to relax and participate in outdoor activities. As a result, hotels during this time may cost more than usual. In some cases, it will be difficult to book a room at the most popular hotels. If you're planning your trip to East Syracuse during this time, try to book at least your hotel room and airfare as soon as you start to plan your trip. You don't want to be left without any satisfactory hotel options when the time comes to schedule the rest of your trip.
Spring is still a fairly popular time to travel to East Syracuse. In early spring, the weather may still be freezing. However, it quickly warms up to highs in the 70s. For many travelers, going to East Syracuse in the spring season is a good compromise. It's not as busy or expensive as it will be in the summer, and the weather is comfortable. This is another time of year when it pays to book your hotel room in advance, as the rates will go up closer to this time.
The fall is a decent time to visit East Syracuse, though it's less popular with tourists than the spring and summer months. The weather is highly variable. You might experience near-freezing temperatures, especially at night, with a chance of snow, or you might enjoy a warm day in the low 80s with sunshine. Depending on what you're planning to do in East Syracuse, you might be able to do everything that you want in the fall. If this is the case, you can save money on a hotel room because of the lower tourism rates.
In the winter, many travelers find it too cold to travel to East Syracuse, as the temperatures are freezing and snow is very common. If you travel during this time, you can get a competitive rate on a hotel room, and you likely don't need to book your hotel very far in advance. You should still get a great selection of rooms, even at the last minute.
Discounted rooms are not hard to find in East Syracuse if you know where to look for them. Knights Inn is a great place to start, as it often offers AAA, military, and senior discounts. The rooms use tropical color schemes to make the decor exciting without being too lavish or ornate. The rooms have all the features you need to be comfortable during your stay. Free breakfast is served in the spacious dining room next to the lobby.
Clarion Inn & Suites near the fairgrounds offers a more luxurious stay, while discounts help keep rates affordable. A gold, copper, and black design accented with yellow lighting gives the rooms a golden sheen. Some rooms have additional amenities, including a hot tub. Other rooms have separate sitting areas and bedrooms. There is a large dining area for free breakfast, as well as an on-site bar and lounge. Small pets are allowed, with a maximum of two per room. Clarion offers discounts to seniors, AAA/CAA members, AARP members, government and military members, and groups, as well as corporate rates.
Finding the best value for your stay is easy when you know the hotels that excel at it. Quality Inn provides one of the best stays for the value that you can find. The rooms make use of earth-tone themes to create a home-like feel. They are simply furnished with plenty of space for what you need. The dining area is large and uncrowded for the complimentary breakfast. The fitness area is also well stocked with the equipment that you need to stay in shape.
Days Inn offers a similar level of value through its rooms and amenities. The rooms are simple and comfortable while being able to address all of your needs. There is a medium-sized meeting room on site where you can hold group meetings if you have business to conduct. You can also take advantage of the computer center. There is a free breakfast included in your stay. Days Inn routinely offers discounts as well, depending on the time of year and your affiliation with different groups.
Although there are plenty of destinations all around East Syracuse, there are attractions to enjoy without leaving the village limit. If you like to golf, consider playing a game at the Links at Erie Village Golf Course. It's a solid course where tournaments are sometimes held. The golf course often hosts specials where you can save money by golfing on certain days of the week over others.
If you are traveling with a group of people who happen to love strategy games, you can participate in a real-life strategy game at Breakout Games. You'll be forced to solve a mystery in under an hour. This might include discovering who the thief is during a museum heist or freeing yourself from handcuffs and blindfolds in a mysterious room. While this activity may not be appropriate for children, it's a lot of fun for adults and teenagers.
Exploring East Syracuse can be a lot of fun, whether you participate in these activities or find your own. No matter what you end up doing, you'll be able to enjoy your stay at one of the city's many hotels that will meet your needs.
