The most popular time to visit Simi Valley is summer, when the weather is warmest and perfect for lounging on the beach. The Stars and Stripes Fireworks Festival is worth checking out if you're visiting in July. You can expect the average temperatures throughout June, July, and August to go from as low as 53 degrees Fahrenheit to as high as 96. Hotel rates are highest at this time of year.
If you're looking to stay on a budget, winter is the best time to visit. Hotels have lower rates in December. Unlike the cities in more Northern states, snow is a rare occurrence in Simi Valley. You're more likely to see rainy days. February has the highest historic average of precipitation with 4.4 inches of rain. However, you can still go shopping, visit museums, and attend local events.
Spring and fall offer mild weather and less rain than winter. Visit in September to check out the city's annual food and wine festival, Simi Valley Dream Cuisine. Renaissance fans should visit in November to dress up in costume and attend the Nottingham Festival. Visiting in the spring? The Simi Valley Street Fair takes place every May, and the Round-Up Rockin' Country Music Extravaganza takes place in April.

Simi Valley is a lovely town with friendly people and all the services a traveler needs. We found it easy to get around. All of the restaurants we ate at were wonderful especially Mr. Z's and Denny's.
