The Pensacola center is about the area of Sacred Heart Medical Center and the area of Cordova Ambulatory Surgical.
Pensacola is a great destination year-round, but peak tourist season hits during the summer. Beginning in the middle of April and lasting through the end of August, hotel rates tend to go up as travelers start to crowd in. Hitting the summer season early or late can help you avoid crowds and pricey accommodations. If you do come in the middle of summer, however, you won't be disappointed.
Fall is often considered the best time to explore Pensacola. The crowds have died down and hotel rates are among some of the year's best, but the weather is perfect for outdoor excursions. October and November are the perfect months to go biking, kayaking, and hiking around the Pensacola Bay. You also won't encounter the stifling heat and humidity that you normally experience during the summer.
Winters are mild with temperatures averaging around 50 degrees. Rain is common during the winter, which tends to keep travelers away. During the winter months, it's usually too chilly to go to the beach, and it's not unusual for the city to experience a frost. Many winter days can actually be quite warm, so don't let that deter you.
Spring is similar to fall in that it's warm and dry, but tropical showers are common. These storms aren't as violent as summer storms, though, but you should expect plenty of rainfall. Hotel rates tend to be decent this time of year, so don't be afraid to plan your trip in March or early April.
If you know where to stay, you can save even more money on your drip to Pensacola by taking advantage of discounts. Many area hotels offer discounts for AAA members, AARP members, military personnel, seniors, business travelers, and certain government employees, allowing you to save as much as 20 percent on the best available rates. Participating hotels include Quality Inn & Suites, Ashton Inn & Suites Pensacola, Hilton Garden Inn Pensacola Airport, and Homewood Suites.
Some hotels even offer their own unique discounts and special packages. For instance, Hampton Inn Pensacola Beach offers a romance package that entitles you to a bottle of sparkling wine, flowers, chocolates, and a coupon to a local restaurant when you check in. Other popular packages include the “Beach Sit & Sip” and “Beach Bummin'” packages, which throw in beach chair rentals, sunscreen bottles, and souvenir beach towels.
These types of special travel packages vary by accommodation, so check with your favorite brand often to see what discounts are currently available.

Pensacola happens to be a pet-friendly city with plenty to offer your beloved pooch. Once you've booked a pet-friendly accommodation, you'll want to explore the city's dog-friendly areas to keep both you and Fido entertained.
The Bayview Dog Park and Beach is by far the favorite location for local pets. This one-acre park provides dogs with water and sandy beach access, allowing them to enjoy the Gulf as much as you are. The park also features a covered picnic area, cleanup stations, dog and people showers, water bowls, and separate enclosed areas for big and little dogs to run around.
You can even find local eateries that accept dogs, like Red Fish Blue Fish. Pet-friendly restaurants and cafes are sometimes restricted to outdoor patio dining, which is just fine when you want to enjoy a waterfront breeze.
Naval Live Oaks across the sound is a great place to go hiking with your dog. It offers more than seven miles of trails, which can keep you and Fido busy for hours.
