The Panama City center point is about 1 mile south of Junior Museum of Bay County and 1 mile southwest of Us Army Chemical Units.
Even though Florida's summer temperatures are mostly in the 90s, Panama City's peak season is summer when the kids are out of school. If you're looking for a fun place for a family vacation, and you don't mind a slight increase in hotel prices, summer is a great time to visit.
If you'd rather have a quieter experience, however, wait until fall. Winter is a more sedate and slightly chillier time to visit, although people from the north often seek shelter from the snow by vacationing in Panama City. If you want to avoid the peak of spring break traffic, avoid the months of March and early April.
If you qualify for a discount on a hotel stay, make the most out of your offer by booking a Panama City hotel that honors that discount. Whether you're age 62 and older, have an AARP or AAA membership, or qualify for a military rate, you'll be able to save considerably on your hotel.
Panama City Beach TownePlace Suites Hotels delivers a stellar senior discount. If you're age 62 or older, you're eligible for a studio with one king bed at a lower rate — under $120 a night — than the AAA rate and the regular price. You're allowed to bring your pets for a $100 fee per stay, and you'll enjoy free Wi-Fi and complimentary parking and breakfast. The hotel also has a snack bar and free newspapers in the lobby.
Military and government employees can stay on a budget at the Econo Lodge Panama City. Depending on when you book, your military rate may go as low as $55 a night for a room with two double beds or one king bed, a savings of almost $10 a night. The Econo Lodge is near the Bay Point Golf and Tennis Club. Amenities include an outdoor seasonal pool, free breakfast and Wi-Fi, and a 24-hour front desk.
The most inexpensive rooms at the Comfort Inn & Suites come with a AAA or an AARP discount. These two memberships will bring the nightly rate below $90, for a savings of $10 on rooms with two queen beds or one king bed. The Comfort Inn offers an elevator, fitness facilities, an outdoor pool, a meeting room, and laundry facilities. You'll also receive free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and parking. When you stay at this hotel, you'll be close to the Junior Museum of Bay County.
