Jack London square lots of restaurants we enjoyed Scott's and The Plank beer & bowling. Farmers market was great and taking the ferry from Jack London square to San Francisco, visiting lake Merritt and Tilden Park.

I would say that the food, people, and location is great. Close to the airport, close to the city. It is a vibrant, diverse place.
