I was attending Quilt Nebraska at the Younes Center. What a wonderfully well run place! The food was fabulous, it was clean, everyone was so nice! One evening we ate at Cunningham's Journal on the Lake. Great food and service, beautiful place, definitely recommend.
I didn't see the city, though what I did see it appeared to be clean and safe.

Kearney has a vibrant downtown with cobblestone brick streets from yesteryear. Prices at bars and restaurants seem quite reasonable.

The breakfast was much better than most served at hotels. The lady in charge of breakfast was amazing! She was very helpful and pleasant! The two fellas who checked me in were also great! I found out that was their last night as they were both heading back to college. The room was comfortable. I would stay here again.

City was green and clean. People were very friendly. Yanney Heritage Park was amazing! And I enjoyed Cottonmill Park as well.
Kearney is a clean town with many opportunities to eat and sites to see. The original Cabelas store is still in operation. The unique arch over I-80 is nearby. Platte River to play in and along. Lots of stuff to do there.

Kearney is a very progressive town in Nebraska. It offers many of the same things as that of Lincoln and Omaha. Kearney is a friendly town and if I could I would be living there.
