Visit the many parks and green spaces the area has to offer. Veterans Park is home to a fishing tee, a boardwalk that makes for a great viewing and photo op location, as well as a butterfly garden and covered area for picnics or other events. A second butterfly garden can be found at Register Nature Park. There, visitors can also hike a nature trail and enjoy a floating dock and fishing tee.
Commissioner's Observatory Park offers a covered picnic area in addition to beach access. Yaupon Park and The Point also offer beach access, with The Point providing a great fishing spot and a wildlife viewing area.
