Another great time to visit is during the spring, so you can see the flowers blooming and the earth coming back to life. Below are reviews of the city of Upper Marlboro, MD from an actual visitor's perspective.
I loved the city; everything was easy to find and quick to get to.
Clean and quiet.
Was there for a horse show at the Show Place Arena.
Very close to several restaurants and shopping.
The Showplace Arena was a really nice venue for our gymnastics competition! Would be very happy to return. Also very much enjoyed the Copper Canyon Grill and Cane's Restaurants nearby.
Clean area & congestion isn't too bad.
Friendly staff clean room Comfortable bed. Loved the mattress. Nothing.
Quiet!
Came to the Arbor Lake Jazz Festival and was pleased.
I like the people and the restaurants!!
Location, convenience, overall very accommodating!
The area that I was in was very nice and clean. It had a cute small-town feel with a somewhat friendly atmosphere. In fact, I had an encounter on the road with a local. I was driving to a shopping center in the area. I was supposed to make a right turn then, another quick left turn (can't remember the roads). Apparently the person next/behind me was in a hurry, she was not happy that I ended up in her lane and made her miss the green/yellow light. She hunk me so loud and looked very upset. I rolled down my window to let her know that I was from out of town (since she probably didn't notice my out of state plate). I told her that I didn't know where I was going, that I was simply following the GPS. That's when her demeanor changed, she apologized and She offered to help.
We were down for a basketball tournament at the Show Place Arena, I was impressed by the arena on the whole.
I was glad to have been able to travel with family in different areas of the city. Anywhere we went, there was no long travel time which was great. The Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary was especially fun.
