Below are reviews of the city of Renton, WA from an actual visitor's perspective.
The trees in Gene Coulan Park in the Fall are glorious!
Easy to get to SEA-TAC.
Didn't look around Renton at all just stopped there because we were taking a cruise the next day.
Close to freeway access, less traffic, food nearby.
I've been to The Landing and enjoyed my shopping experience and I also went to the Bear Car Wash. They were friendly and I will go there again. Other than that I haven't really gone around Renton.
I like how close it is to downtown Seattle and Pikes Market.
Downtown Renton has so much character and charm with excellent eateries and quaint shops.
Walking distance to stores, fast food and airport.
It's wonderful!
I didn't get a chance to see the city, was at a dance competition.
It's a nice little town!
Easy access to restaurants, shops and entertainment.

I live in the area and find the area has all the conveniences of downtown Seattle without the urban congestion. Southport is a beautiful location in the middle of a major metropolitan area. Adequate parking and reasonable. The area is scenic.
Lots of great restaurants!
The area I was in had plenty and easy access to retail and shopping.
There's a fantastic Thai place less than half a mile from the hotel! I'd give that place my highest recommendation. The library is also peaceful (that's where we waited until we could check in) and has a good selection of magazines to read.
Great!!!
My wife grew up in Maple Valley and Renton, some of her relatives still reside there. Being from a small town in Idaho I do not care for the heavy traffic and lots of people, but there are good sight-seeing and shopping opportunities in and around Renton.
The ferry to Bainbridge Island was great! We had a nice time hiking and a delicious lunch at a diner on the island.
