The Lake Arrowhead center point is around the area of Wishing Well At Lake Arrowhead and the area of Downtown Lake Arrowhead.
Lake Arrowhead enjoys about 310 days of sunshine each year. In the late fall through early spring, you stand about a 20 percent chance of precipitation. Summer days are invariably gorgeous and perfect for boating over to the yacht club, taking a tour of the lake, or learning how to water ski. The season starts unofficially with the Rotary Art and Wine Festival in late May. The traffic to Lake Arrowhead peaks during summer months, from its Independence Day celebrations until schools are back in session.
Any time you come, you can enjoy the mountain views. Head up to Strawberry Peak Fire Lookout for a birds-eye view of Lake Arrowhead from atop Twin Peaks. On a clear day, you can see Los Angeles and beyond. Heaps Peak Arboretum also offers a beautiful walk through foliage and trees on the Rim of the World Scenic Byway, east of Skyforest. This scenic walk isn't too strenuous for families or the family dog.
The winter season ushers in winter sports. Snow bunnies will love to hit the ski slopes at nearby Snow Valley, Mountain High, and Snow Summit. Ice Castle International Training Center and skating rink also offers indoor winter entertainment.

You don't have to wait all year to see Santa. Tell the kids you found the North Pole, and then head over to the Lake Arrowhead section of San Bernardino National Forest, where you'll discover Sky Park at Santa's Village. This charming Christmas theme park enables visitors to meet Santa and his helpers any time of year.
Dine at one of the park's many restaurants after an afternoon of ice skating. Little kids will love the face painting, evening parade, tree lighting, and Christmas cookies. Take their pictures with a snowman, reindeer, or Santa himself. The park also offers extensive adventure activities to entertain older kids and teens, such as a rock climbing wall, trails, bungee jumps, and zip lines. Of course, you can't miss Santa's Village during the holiday season!
If your children love animals, they will never forget coming face to face with wildlife at Wildhaven Ranch. This facility takes in injured animals for rehabilitation. During a visit to Wildhaven, you may see coyotes, bears, deer, bobcats, and eagles, offering you a chance to learn from scientists and caretakers. Be sure to book your tour well in advance as small group tours are only offered once or twice a week. Advance reservations are required.
If you want to treat your family to something sweet, start the day with a big family breakfast at Belgian Waffle Works, which serves up waffles with whipped cream and all sorts of indulgent toppings. Head over to Cedar Glen Malt Shop for old-time milkshakes, and be sure to pop into Lake Arrowhead Deli, a favorite local spot for pizza.
Ski, boat, hike, bike, or swim. Shop, dine, or simply drink some wine. Whether you're traveling to Lake Arrowhead with a significant other, a group of friends, or your family, this Southern California resort destination offers a lot of fun in the great outdoors.
Below are reviews of the city of Lake Arrowhead, CA from an actual visitor's perspective.
Love Jensens and Lake Arrowhead Village! We've been coming up from LA for decades as we ice skated at Blue Jay competitions over the years. Sure miss that beautiful ice rink.
Nice view and walk through the village.
Lake Arrowhead area has that clean air! Altitude just high enough to give the holiday feel with Big Bear close by. Cute little villages to visit. Most of the homes are adorable with some incredible estates. Very fun.
Such a great landscape and contrast to 'coastal' LA
The town of Lake Arrowhead is very quaint, clean, and has a great village center with many shops to choose from. And the lake itself is beautiful.
Loop around Lake was a lovely drive. We were looking forward to the boat ride on the lake. Had a nice lunch in the Village. Appreciated Stater Bros for emergency medication. Were able to take a wheelchair from fourth level Stater's on elevator to all other levels of the village. Wheeled access to path along the water and shops on all levels.

Arrowhead Village offers several amenities. Andrew who took us kayaking was great.
Lake Arrowhead is a beautiful village with super nice scenery! There is no question that I will continue to explore and discover more of this lovely jewel only 90 minutes from downtown Los Angeles.
View and that there are stores nearby.
