The Indian Rocks Beach center point is approximately 4 miles northwest of North Redington Beach and 5 miles west of Lake Seminole Park.
With three miles of beautiful white sand beaches, Indian Rocks Beach is a year-round tourist destination. As with nearby Tampa, January through April is the high season thanks to the popularity of the area as a spring break destination and the cold weather in the rest of the country. As a result, you'll experience more crowded beaches and higher hotel prices than during the rest of the year. If you visit from September through December, however, you'll enjoy the lowest lodging prices and moderate weather. May through August tend to be somewhat crowded, but offer affordable prices on hotels if you don't mind the heat.
While most of the hotels in Indian Rocks Beach are small properties rather than large chains, they don't tend to offer the typical discounts of bigger hotels. However, the Hampton Inn & Suites less than four miles away in Largo offers 10 percent off room rates for AAA and CAA members as well as senior citizens. Government and military members can also qualify for special rates. Less than five miles away in Clearwater, Sheraton Sand Key Resort offers a 15 percent discount for Florida residents and up to 20 percent off room rates for AAA members.
