San Jacinto Valley has been a snowbird destination for decades. The average highs in December, January, and February are in the 60s, and November and March have highs in the 70s. If you're looking for a spot to escape the cold that isn't Florida or Los Angeles, Hemet is a great choice.
Summer in Hemet is hot and temperatures often approach 100, so it's not the most ideal time to go. However, there's barely any precipitation which means the air is dry. Without humidity, those temperatures are far more bearable. If you're from somewhere like Florida or Louisiana, you'll be able to handle Hemet's summer just fine.
Keep in mind that the nights get cold in Hemet, even in the summer. Pack pants and jackets in case you want to take a nighttime stroll or plan on going out on the town. You can't really deal with California weather without a diverse wardrobe, anyway!

Hemet is a great spot for visitors who want to see California without paying tourist prices. Hemet still has that quaint old California feel, though if the San Jacinto Valley become a major tourist destination it's hard to say how long that will last. Visit while Hemet is still an up-and-coming spot, so you can say you found it before all the tourists arrived.
Below are reviews of the city of Hemet, CA from an actual visitor's perspective.
Seems like there's been an upgrade to the property, very nice!
Attending a wedding and it was beautiful; the Lyft driver was nice. The hotel room was clean.
All the people who waited on me everywhere were so nice and well trained! Even people I met in shops or nearby were really nice. I tried Panera Bread and a yogurt shop and both had good food.
Visiting friends and loved ones.
Hemet seems to be a nice small town with a lot of nice places to eat that we were familiar with. We also spent a good deal of time in the Hemet Bowling Alley and also we went to the Soboba Indian Casino. I look forward to playing softball in Hemet in the future. Unfortunately we were rained out, but my teammates raved about the Softball/baseball facilities in Hemet they are rated top notch.
