The Apple Valley center is about 3 miles south of Apple Valley Airport and 5 miles northeast of Victor Valley College.
Apple Valley is located west of Los Angeles and north of San Bernardino in the high desert region. The hot season starts around the beginning of June and lasts all the way to the middle of September with average daytime temperatures around 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Toward the end of July is the hottest time with an average daytime high of 97 and nightly lows of 68. Things don't cool down much until around Thanksgiving when the daily highs reach around 65. The coldest time of year on average is late December with highs around 56 and lows around 35. Warm weather starts to return by the beginning of March when average daytime temperatures get back up around 64.
The region doesn't get much rain throughout the year due to its desert climate, but there is substantial cloud cover for part of the year. You won't have to worry too much about precipitation as the highest chance is in February with a high of 17 percent, but you will likely see a lot of cloud cover during February. The cloudy season starts in early November and lasts until mid-April. Your chances of getting sunburn are much lower during this time of year, but you're likely to get a lot of sun exposure around the beginning of September when the days are the clearest they'll be throughout the year.

That's because the famous cowboy singing duo once lived here along with Trigger, and the Roy Rogers Museum was once located here. Be sure to check out the 24-foot-high statue of Trigger that's located at the Spirit River Center, and visit the Apple Valley Legacy Museum for some Roy Rogers memorabilia to take home. If you want to pay homage to Roy and Dale, head over to the Sunset Hills Memorial Park and visit their final resting place. Cemetery staff are welcoming to those who want to stop a moment to pay their respects, and they let visitors take pictures. You can also pick up a copy of their memorial pamphlet if you're so inclined.
