The management and staff were very nice. They were doing their best considering the hurricane and power outages. They stayed calm under pressure and put guests in their rooms as quickly as possible. I appreciated all their hard work especially with computers down. Room was clean and comfortable.

Although known throughout the world as an equestrian training center, Aiken is also a place rich in history and natural beauty, as well as a thriving business community. The downtown area is easy to walk and filled with a variety of shops and restaurants. Downtown also boasts a variety of festivals and events throughout the year. Though sporting traditions center around horses and equestrian activities such as polo, steeplechase racing, and show jumping, we also have baseball, soccer and golf (Masters Golf is just over the river in Augusta). The Holiday Inn Express Hotel Aiken-Downtown puts all the area's attractions and businesses at your fingertips. Located in the heart of Aiken, the 99 guest room exterior corridor hotel built in 1993 has a lot to offer. Sitting back off the main road, we offer a peaceful environment and tranquil surroundings. We have a gazebo. We offer a complimentary deluxe Continental breakfast every morning. All our rooms have microwaves, refrigerators, hair dryers and iron/boards. The staff at our hotel are friendly and will not hesitate to meet any of our guest's expectations. Additional hotel features include: complimentary high-speed Internet access, pets are allowed with a one-time $45.00 fee per stay and our outdoor pool is open Memorial Day-Labor Day.
