The Pickerington center is approximately 1 mile west of Pickerington North Softball Complex and 1 mile north of Pickerington Central Softball Complex.
Pickerington has lots of fun festivals all year, including the Buckeye Lake Winterfest in January with fireworks, live music, an art show, and more. You can celebrate spring at the Maple Tapping Festival in March or explore the free Community Days Festival in May. It has amusement park rides, car shows, arts and crafts, and delicious food. Flights and hotels are usually least expensive in October, and they're most costly in summer when the weather is ideal for outdoor activities. This lively college town also has a busy nightlife in summer.

The Sherman House Museum in nearby Lancaster is the birthplace of General William Tecumseh Sherman and his younger brother, U.S. Senator John Sherman. It's listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Civil War Preservation Trail. It was built in 1811, and the family added a parlor and a study in 1816 for the General's father, Judge Charles Sherman.
All of the rooms are restored to look the same way they did when the Shermans lived there, and most of the furniture was owned by the General and his wife in New York City. There's also a recreation of the General's field tent with items he used and other Civil War artifacts. Admission includes a guided tour, and it's free for active duty military personnel. It's open from noon to 4 p.m. from Tuesday through Sunday. The first level is handicapped accessible, and DVD tours are available for the second and lower floors.
