The Inside Scoop by our Local Expert
The St. Paul Winter Carnival has been celebrating the magic of the season for over 127 years. The first carnival was held to refute an insult towards the community from a man who compared St. Paul in winter to Siberia. Activities include dog-sledding, bobsled and toboggan rides, musical performances, parades and art exhibits. An elaborate ice castle is created every year using ice from Minnesota's frozen lakes. The Winter Carnival is held every January. Book your hotels near St. Paul Winter Carnival now!
