And after you've had a busy day of sightseeing and maybe even swimming, pay a visit to one of Rancho Cordova's cafes or restaurants.
For example, Ettore's European Bakery and Restaurant. It is owned by Ettore Ravazzolo - a man with a difficult, but interesting story. Born in Switzerland in a small town called Wollerau, he was put into an orphanage at a very young age and the only bright memory he has from his childhood is his Italian grandpa Nono, who was a chef himself. This man inspired young Ettoro to become a pastry magician, and by the age of 20, he had already been a professional. Ettore's restaurant has become the local's favorite place “with a funny name.” And to this day Ettore maintains its welcoming home-like atmosphere, treating people to the best European pastry!

There';s a nearby restaurant which I did not visdit (Brookefields??) I did however find a fast food row, not my first choice but didn't want to linger in a restaurant. So there were plenty of options for fast food about a mile away. Chik-Fil-a worked for me. But there were all the standard burger and taco places as well.
