Below are reviews of the city of White Plains, NY from an actual visitor's perspective.
Great city for walking and great restaurants
Everything is right there love the many restaurants to choose from!
Proximity to airport.
There were places to eat that were within walking distance.
Hotel is located close to airport.
The rooms are clean and very spacious, The location to my family.
Within walking distance of so many stores and restaurants.
The hotel is walking distance to many restaurants. There are some national chains, but there are numerous opportunities to try a local establishment. A shopping center next door and another one downtown make it easy to replace items you may have forgot to pack. There is Movie theater close by also.
The city seem to be relatively safe many restaurants and stores but no movie theater. It's also a city for the young at heart bars and grills for the night life. I suppose the increase in New York's minimum wage law was felt when eating out because food was as expensive as nyc and wp don't have the same tourist attractions. The trees and plants made it a warm city to visit. I would visit it again.
White Plains has a number of good eateries from pub bars, upscale dining and sports themed restaurants. The nightlife is great here too.
