The Woodland Hills center point is about 2 miles east of The Commons at Calabasas.
Woodland Hills is warm and sunny for most of the year, but the area gets some rain in winter. There are lots of entertaining events available. Showbiz India's annual Summer Soiree is at Spice Affair in nearby Beverly Hills in June. This red carpet event will have A-list celebrities, a glamorous fashion show, Indian appetizers, and a Bollywood DJ. You can watch fireworks on the Fourth of July at the Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center. There are also a pet show, a fun run, family barbecue, tennis, free swimming, and games.
The Valley Cultural Center hosts its annual Concerts on the Green concert series on most Sundays in summer at the beautiful Lou Bredlow Pavilion in Warner Park. You can enjoy live rock music, as well as food and drinks from local vendors. The House at Haunted Hill is a Halloween show with an original script and score. It's inside a house next to a cemetery for creepy fun.
Hotel rooms are most affordable in January and February. The weather isn't as good during those months, but it's still warmer than the rest of the United States. There aren't many events and people are done with visiting their relatives for the holidays. Of course, paying a little more is worth it if you want to go to the beach or have fun at a concert or other special event.

Below are reviews of the city of Woodland Hills, CA from an actual visitor's perspective.
Peaceful area
The location was great.
Great location in Woodland Hills and I like the fact that there is a security guard at night to watch cars and the entrance.
You can shop at Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Ralphs and get good burgers at Fat Boys and Urban Plates.
The area offers all the needed amenities and restaurants and it's a fairly quick drive to Malibu Beach. Love the park and trail in Topanga Canyon.
We enjoyed dining at Urban Plate and the grocery store/market right across the parking lot had a great selection of products.
Great view, staff, food, cleanliness
I liked that everything was close to hotel!
Situated in a nice area. Walking distance to StarBucks and CVS is close by.
Lots of shopping and dining options!
Hotel has a thoughtful staff.
Attended a lovely wedding at Orcutt Ranch!
Excellent restaurants and everything was close by.
All the employees were so helpful and kind.
The many different venues in the area makes it a very attractive place to set your destination. Food, shopping, night life or day events. The main reason is because it is just a drive away from many other things.
