Stuart Florida is a wonderful place for a lovely afternoon and evening of strolling, especially through the little downtown area with shops, restaurants, ice cream parlors, all with live music to entertain. You could enjoy a lovely dinner with friendly staff at any of the local restaurants, I recommend The Southern Pig And Cattle. It has the best BBQ around. Because of Stuarts' ocean location it offers a variety of watersports with rentals such as boats, jet skis, kayaks and paddleboards. You can enjoy a full day in the sun on the beautiful waters of Florida, you couldn't go wrong in choosing the ocean as a way to spend your day. To talk about the most awesome experience in Stuart would be their annual Air Show at Witham Field (Nov 2nd & 3rd). Seeing war planes fly over you in perfect formation will leave you in awe, speechless. It will make you so proud and so grateful for the soldiers who fight for your freedom from the air. Stunt pilots will give you a show unlike anything else you ever seen. Its an amazing experience I would recommend to anyone. The amazement of being able to go inside these war planes, to meet soldiers of the Air force and shake their hands. It's a full day of all kinds of activities, shows, airplane and hot air balloon rides, just fun for the whole family.
Stuart's humid subtropical climate means hot, humid summers and pleasantly mild winters. From June through September, high temperatures generally reach the upper 80s or low 90s. This is also the rainiest time of year, and the area often sees nearly 9 inches of rain in both August and September. If you're planning on visiting during the summer, keep in mind that this is hurricane season, and you'll need to keep an eye on the forecast.
From November through April, high temperatures generally reach the mid- to upper 70s, and the skies tend to be much drier. Thanks to less extreme temperatures and holidays, this is typically the most popular time to visit the Stuart area.
