Visiting Skokie throughout the year offers different benefits, so it's important to decide what you want to see and do while you're here. The summer offers a number of great outdoor opportunities, including festivals and events, but the influx of tourists makes hotel rates higher and traffic more congested. Fall offers cooler temperatures, beautiful outdoor options, and fewer tourists. Winter gets extremely cold with frequent and severe winter storms. However, hotel rates are their lowest during this time of the yea. In the spring, you'll get cool temperatures and a lot of rain, but more outdoor activities as the frost subsides.
The city has average high temperatures of 32 degrees in winter and 81 in summer. Average lows range from 18 to 66 degrees seasonally. Skokie gets anywhere from seven to 13 days with precipitation each month.
