The best time of year to visit Springdale is during the spring, when the weather starts to get warmer and the sun starts coming out more often. All the colors from the blooming flowers come alive, including jonquils, wildflowers, and dogwoods. Wildflower routes span throughout the state, making it a perfect time for a road trip. This time of year is also popular for photographers to capture the beautiful, vivid colors everywhere. Visiting state parks is a common activity in the spring, whether it's driving along the Talimena Scenic Byway or trying your luck at fishing at White River.
The summer is also an ideal time to visit Springdale. Temperatures can reach well into the 90s, so make sure you dress appropriately and come prepared for the heat. The heat does make this time of year perfect for being in the water, though. Take advantage of the lakes around the area to go swimming, rent a canoe, or just relax on the shore. Hotels near lakes can book up quickly though, so be sure to plan your trip in advance. The nights can bring cooler temperatures with a breeze, so pack some warm clothing in your suitcase before leaving for your trip.
