Tyger River Park is without a doubt the most magnificent park I've been to. Whoever did the planning/layout for it was amazing. I served on the Parks and Recreation Commission for Stafford County, VA for three years and know first hand the amount of work that goes into something like that. The wind turbines, the exercise stations along the walking path, and the sundial is just amazing planning! The Parks and Recreation Commission and people of Spartanburg should be very proud!
We love Spartanburg, but our son and his family live there, so we are familiar with the city. Belk at Westgate Mall is, by far, my favorite store. Restaurants are plentiful, with good food and service, and gas is reasonable in the south. The people are friendly, and helpful. The staff at Denny's close to I26 ramp were, even after a hectic Christmas week, friendly and eager to please for our breakfast before leaving for home in Indiana.
