The Huntington center point is around the area of Huntington Junior College and the area of Mountain Health Arena.
Since Huntington is in the lower portion of West Virginia, and away from the Allegheny and Appalachian Mountains, the area enjoys four distinct seasons and moderate weather. From June through August, the average high temperatures are in the upper 80s. While the rivers add to the humidity during the summer, this is still one of the most popular times to visit the area, so expect higher hotel rates.
Fall in Huntington brings more comfortable temperatures to the area. September starts out with average highs in the upper 70s, and by November, the area experiences average highs in the upper 50s. By late October and into November, it's possible to see trace amounts of snowfall. Even so, with all the students coming back to Marshall University, you won't find many hotel deals yet.
If you're looking for the best hotel rates, plan your trip during the winter. The months between December and March experience average high temperatures in the lower to mid-40s. While you'll have to deal with less-than-ideal weather during the winter, the advantage is saving money on your hotel room.
While the beginning of April can still see some snowfall, it warms up quickly, and the average high temperature is in the mid-60s. May is a very pleasant month in Huntington and is a nice time to visit. Average high temperatures are in the mid-70s, and if you plan your visit before Memorial Day, you can still find some good deals on hotels rates.

Quiet
We were only there at night and we ate at the Outback which was conveniently located across the parking lot from Best Western and again we were treated great. The food was delicious and service was awesome. What a wonderful experience we enjoyed!
Love seeing the history that Huntington had to offer. If ever there, do not miss seeing the Marshall Memorial in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pullman Square was awesome! What a great concept. It reminded me of Ithaca, NY's Ithaca Commmons. It was so nice to be able to walk around and not worry about traffic!
Marshall University is where our academic competition took place and kids enjoyed being there. Wish I'd had more time to walk around downtown and catch a show at the Keith Albee.
