Trying to figure out the best time to visit Ardmore depends entirely on what you would like to do while you're there. If you're interested in exploring the lakes and parks around the area, the best time to go is in the summer. From May to September, the average high temperatures are in the mid-80s to mid-90s Fahrenheit, and the average lows are in the upper 60s and lower 70s. However, these warm temperatures bring plenty of people to the area, so if you're looking for a good hotel deal, this isn't the time to visit.
If you plan a trip to Ardmore in October or November, you won't have to cope with summer crowds or the summer heat. Average high temperatures are in the 60s and 70s. However, be aware that by November the average low temperatures can dip into the upper 30s, and by late November it's possible to see a dusting of snow.
If you're looking for a good hotel deal, plan your trip for the winter. While average highs in December through February hover in the 50s, the average lows can get into the 20s and 30s, so it's possible to see snow during these months. Even though you won't be doing much exploring outside, the indoor attractions remain open, so you'll still find plenty of activities to enjoy.
Spring is another good time to find deals on hotel prices. In March and April, you'll see average highs in the mid-60s and 70s, and average lows in the 50s. However, these are also some of the rainiest months in Ardmore, so make sure you pack an umbrella if you plan on visiting during this time.
