The city of Chesapeake is a nature lover's delight! If you enjoy the outdoors, take a walk, hike, or jog at Chesapeake Arboretum, 48 acres of beautiful trails and wildlife open every single day. There are also a number of parks (City Park, Oak Grove Lake, Northwest River) nearby that accommodate family functions, dog owners and even skaters. Northwest River Park is known especially for its camping services where one can enjoy fishing, hiking, boating and so much more throughout the year. Enjoy all four seasons and book at Staybridge Suites Chesapeake Va. Beach which offers great group rates, free hot breakfast buffet, a lovely indoor pool and other wonderful amenities. Summer is high season in Chesapeake, when temperatures climb to the upper 80s and the sun shines throughout long days packed with adventures. Since summer is such a popular season to visit, however, you'll likely pay top dollar to visit while the weather is warm.
To save on your accommodations, consider visiting during the late spring or early fall, when the weather is still great but the crowds aren't quite as large. Hotel prices tend to be remarkably low in the winter, when some outdoor attractions aren't quite as enticing but the city's cultural scene is still in full swing.
Whether you're planning a short weekend trip or a longer getaway, you can save with additional discounts on hotel rooms in the Chesapeake area. AAA members save an average of 10 percent at the Marriott Chesapeake and the Comfort Inn & Suites Chesapeake. Senior travelers and AARP members save about 10 to 20 percent on standard room rates at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Chesapeake Greenbrier and the Comfort Suites Chesapeake.
