The family gathered for a Celebration of Life for our matriarch. My Wife and I traveled from the East Coast for the event and we chose to stay at the hotel. We were warmly received at the check in desk. I had suffered a fall and was having mobility issues. The hotel staff loaned me a wheelchair and set us up with a handicapped room. The room was comfortable and allowed me to get much needed rest. The Celebration of Life was held in the Golden Bear room and the adjacent patio. The facility was just right for the event as we celebrated the life of our Matriarch. We experienced both in room dining and the Zino bar and restaurant and both were pleasant experiences. The hospitality and assistance I received during our stay was top notch. We will be happy to recommend the Hotel Shattuck Plaza unreservedly.

Located a few steps from Downtown Berkeley BART with access to SFO and OAK international airports. One (1) block from the UC Berkeley campus, we are the perfect location for business and leisure trips. On-site restaurant, ZINO, serves fresh Mediterranean cuisine for breakfast, lunch, dinner, happy hour and weekend brunch. Our downtown location is just steps from restaurants, shopping and UC Berkeley. #1 on Trip Advisor, Certified Clean and Safe by California Hotel & Lodging Association. We competed a renovation in 2018. We are an upscale boutique hotel with eco-friendly operations. We also provide complimentary high speed Wi-Fi.
