The Mission District in San Francisco is heavily Latino, bohemian, artsy and hip. It's also one of the sunniest neighborhoods in the City. The two main streets are Mission and Valencia, which run parallel to one another. Valencia Street offers up a number of great restaurants, which are very popular with both locals and those from other areas. Limon is a Peruvian restaurant with amazing ceviche. Bombay Creamery offers great ice cream in unusual but delicious flavors. Dosa offers good Indian food. There's also vegetarian Japanese at Cha-Ya and Ethiopian cuisine at Cafe Ethiopian. There are dozens of Mexican taquerias as well as El Salvadoran and Nicaraguan eateries with very reasonable prices. The Pork Store cooks up pork chops, grits and biscuits for breakfast. There are a number of small, local theaters featuring live performances. The Marsh on Valencia; The Dark Room Theater on Mission; and the Victoria on 16th Street. The Elbow Room, a small bar on Valenica has live music.
